Sci-Port Kids (Big & Small) become Santa’s Helpers for
Make-n-Take Toy Workshops this holiday season

Visitors use scientific principles to create toys they can
take home and enjoy or give away as presents

Shreveport-Bossier City, LA -- Sci-Port Discovery Center will bustle with spirited, hands-on building fun this holiday season in a series of Make-N-Take Toy Workshops for all ages. These workshops, stirring with creativity and the fascinating science behind toys, will be held November 17-25 and December 22 – January 6, and are free with admission.

Sci-Port Discovery Center is a 92,000 square-foot science and entertainment center with 290 hands-on science exhibits, a Space Center and Planetarium, daily changing programs, an IMAX dome theatre, demonstration theater, gift shop and café. Sci-port was recently awarded Museum of the Year for the state of Louisiana. Sci-Port is located at 820 Clyde Fant Parkway at Lake Street on the downtown Shreveport Riverfront. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
