Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival promises to bigger than last year

Shreveport-Bossier City, LA -- The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival on December 1 is always captivating to the thousands of people who gather on the banks of Caddo Lake in Earl Williamson Park in Oil City for the annual holiday event. Last year alone, more than 12,000 people attended the festival.

The festival will begin at 4 p.m. There will be delicious food, and wonderful arts and crafts booths, making it easy to find something special for that certain someone this holiday season.

“The fireworks show has been totally revamped and visitors can expect a bigger show,” said festival organizer, Mary Dunn. “The decorations will also be bigger and more elaborate than last year.”

Children will be amazed by the clowns, balloons and 18-foot slide. And Santa Claus, the big man himself, will be there to give presents to every child who talks with him.
The fireworks will begin at 6:30 p.m. over Caddo Lake. Special live entertainment will perform throughout the evening.

To find the festival, take I-20 to I-220, exit Highway 1 and 71 North.  Take Highway 1 North toward Oil City.  The event is in Earl Williamson Park on Caddo Lake at Oil City, LA. Locals can head north up Highway 1 to Oil City.
