Ice Skating Returns To       
Festival Plaza, Downtown Shreveport

 Shreveport-Bossier City, LA – ICE! A Red River Revel Holiday Event opens Saturday, November 17 under the Pavilion at Festival Plaza, Downtown Shreveport. ICE features ice skating seven days a week and is the perfect place to bring the whole family for ice skating, shopping – even grabbing a quick bite to eat!
The Pavilion at Festival Plaza will be magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Surrounding the 90’ x 112’ ice rink, patrons will be treated to a beautiful lighted Christmas tree, holiday ornaments, enchanting snowflakes and lots of festive lights.

Each weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas, a special Weekend Holiday Shopping Market will compliment this delightful family attraction. Approximately 40 vendors will offer everything needed to make this holiday season like no other! Market hours are Fridays 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Ice rink admission is $9 for an individual or $7 for each individual in a group of 10 or more. Admission price includes ice skate rental. Ice skating lessons will be offered for $12 per person. ICE will be open at the Pavilion at Festival Plaza for 51 days, from Saturday, November 17, 2007 through Sunday, January 6, 2008 This unique event has received assistance from the City of Shreveport, Eldorado Resort Casino and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.  All proceeds will benefit The Red River Revel Arts Festival.
