Nov. 24: December on the Red Lighting Ceremony. Louisiana Boardwalk, 390 Plaza Loop, Bossier City. Santa Claus and city officials will throw the switch on the 40-ft. Nov. 26: Great Russian Nutcracker. Strand Theatre, 619 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport. The Great Russian Nutcracker returns to the Strand Theatre in cooperation with the Louisiana Dance Foundation. Nov. 28 - Dec. 24: Christmas in Roseland. Gardens of the American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson-Paige Road, Exit 5 off I-20, Shreveport. Amidst a million, sparkling lights, families, groups and individuals alike will stand in awe at the glorious transformation of the Gardens. From animated displays to sleeping roses, to larger-than-life Christmas cards made by Shreveport-Bossier school children.
